What is Microsoft Teams Direct Routing?
Direct Routing is a feature supported by Microsoft Teams and Virtual-Call allows you to utilize this functionality and connect Microsoft Teams to the public switched telephone network (PSTN) without the need for a dedicated Session Border Controller (SBC). An SBC is normally a type of switch that ensures the security and control of IP-based communications, but when using our service we take care of this aspect for you.
With our solution, you can make and receive phone calls directly via Microsoft Teams without the need for a separate telephone system. The connection is largely automated, so no specific PowerShell knowledge or hiring an external IT company is required to set it up.
The benefits of our Direct Routing option for MS Teams include not only cost efficiency, scalability and redundancy, but also easy integration and setup, allowing users to start using it immediately.
